Ajay Devgn, actor, expressed his joy Tuesday over the record-breaking advance ticket booking for Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. He cited the need for three to five hits in succession for the audience to get back to their old habit of going to the theatre to watch films.
Devgn spoke out at the teaser launch of Bholaa, his film about the upcoming film. Pathaan is a film that we have not seen receive such a large advance booking. I am really happy about this.
Shah Rukh showed equal respect for Devgn’s message and love. He tweeted about Devgn during a recent Ask SRK session. “Ajay has been an enduring supporter and friend to me and my family over the years. He is an amazing actor and a wonderful human being. Shah Rukh replied to a tweet with the words “Strong and silent.”
Devgn is keeping his fingers crossed for RRR nominations. After its nomination for the Critics’ Award and winning the Golden Globe, S.S. Rajamouli’s RRR has gained international recognition. Actor S.S. Rajamouli, 53, believed that box office numbers are beneficial for the entire industry.
“When films succeed, it’s a benefit to the entire industry. Rajamouli has taken Rajamouli’s film international. We are proud to see that our industry has been recognized by filmmakers like James Cameron. We feel proud. Devgn stated, “I’m keeping my fingers crossed that RRR gets nominations and awards.”
Devgan will appear in Amit Ravindernath’s sports drama Maidaan. It is scheduled for release later in the year.
