Ajith completes action-packed climax schedule of Boney Kapoor’s Valimai at Russia

Thala Ajith starrer Valimai has undoubtedly become one of the most anticipated upcoming South movies of this year. Recently the actor flew to Russia to complete a crucial action sequence of the film.  Line Producer Sarfaraz Alam’s Kartina Entertainment managed the on ground production and crew for the movie along with Stunt Director Sergei Golovkin. Thanks to great execution by the whole Kartina Entertainment Team, the shooting was wrapped in a smooth way.

Valimai is touted to be a masala entertainer and is expected to be high on stunts and action sequences. The grapevine has it that Ajith plays an IPS officer Eeswaramoorthy in the film which is said to be packed with action and emotions. Veteran actress Sumithra plays Ajith’s mother in the film. The film will feature quite a few high-octane action sequences, of which some sequences are shot in Moscow. The initial plan to film in Spain was deferred due to the ongoing pandemic. The crew of the Boney Kapoor film then shifted base to Russia to wrap up the last schedule.

The climax and opening sequences were shot in the ancient city of Kolomna of Moscow Oblast, Ajith and Kartikeya [Gummakonda] shot bike-based stunts and chase scenes along with local Russian stuntmen at FMX Tracks and Forests. Kolomna boasts of architectural splendours, including the Kolomna Cathedral, the Kolomna Kremlin, and the Church of John the Baptist. Kartina Entertainment has strong know-how of these ideal filming locations along with the necessary team to provide end-to-end line production.

Vinoth kumar, and the lead Actor Ajith Kumar are extremely happy with the work done by us.”, said Line Producer Sarfaraz Alam, Founder of Kartina Entertainment. “Being a Line Producer in Russia is very rewarding because of the great locations in Russia, talented crew, and not so expensive production that is attracting many filmmakers to shoot in Russia”, he added.

The film is directed by H. Vinoth, who directed Ajith’s previous film Nerkonda Paarvai, which was the Tamil remake of the Bollywood film Pink. Valimai also features Huma Qureshi as the leading lady and Kartikeya Gummakonda, who will play the role of the antagonist. The cinematography is by Nirav Shah and editing by Vijay Velukutty with stunts by Dhilip Subbarayan.

Boney hopes to announce the release date of the film by mid-September, once he gauges the time required for the post-production work.
